Our recent project, Mano Tours, presented a multifaceted challenge that required the development of a comprehensive Drupal 8 (D8) travel portal for New York tours. The platform had to accommodate multilingual content and various tour options, providing an inclusive and user-friendly experience for a diverse range of customers.
One of the significant aspects of this project was the integration of an eCommerce setup that would allow groups to easily book travels and bus tours in New York. This required us to build an intuitive and seamless booking system that could handle varying group sizes, tour preferences, and scheduling complexities.
An essential requirement was the provision of various guides in multiple languages, catering to the global clientele of Mano Tours. This required the creation of a robust multilingual system that could accurately translate and present content in various languages without compromising the message or the user experience.
The project also entailed the integration of multiple payment gateways at checkout. The selection of the payment gateway had to be dynamically determined based on the country of the ordering client. This posed a technical challenge due to the need to support various payment systems, each with its own set of integration requirements and protocols.
Lastly, the overarching goal was to maximize the bottom line for the business owner. This meant creating a solution that was not only technically sound and user-friendly but also optimized for conversions and revenue generation.
In summary, the Mano Tours project posed a complex challenge that required us to balance user experience, technical robustness, multilingual support, and eCommerce optimization within a D8 platform.
